Danceology Studios 2018-2019 Schedule

*As always the schedule is subject to change based on number of students registered! We do have a minimum # per class in order for it to remain on the schedule.

If you do not see a class that works with your schedule, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you if there is an opening/availability in the schedule.

Please be aware classes may be on the hour, :15 or :30 or check the schedule carefully!

Class descriptions:

Ballet: Focus on fundamentals of proper ballet technique

Jazz: Focus on key elements of jazz technique (includes basic leaps and turns)

Ballet/Jazz: Both styles will be introduced within the class time. Most classes will perform two dances at recital (one in each style) but please check with your teacher for more details. 

Ballet/Tap: Both styles will be introduced within the class time. Most classes will perform two dances at recital (one in each style)

Hip Hop/Jazz: An introduction to basic hip hop while still implementing jazz technique. We use age appropriate steps/music in our hip hop program

Hip Hop: Students who want to advance their training in hip hop-recommended for dancers with some jazz training. Focus on body isolations as well as more complex elements including footwork, stunts and turns

Drill Prep/Jazz Technique: For 7th-9th grade dancers who would like to increase their overall jazz technique including leaps and turns, as well focus on skills needed for drill team. *Class works very well in combination with Dette Prep class at LHHS.

Int.- Adv. Jazz Technique: Includes focus on polishing technique including leaps, turns and choreography. Dancers are usually on their HS drill/dance team and we will include high kicks, and drill elements

Strength & Flexibility: Focus on increasing total body strength, core stabilization and increasing overall flexibility including focus on hips, low back and hamstrings.

Lyrical/Contemporary: Fusion of ballet and jazz. The focus is conveying musicality and emotion through movement. It is a combination of intricate, highly technical, and naturalistic moves.

Leaps & Turns: Focus will be on increasing skill level and improving technique in both leaps and turns. Will introduce more advanced "tricks".

Student Choreography: Class will focus on expanding student's knowledge of creating and setting choreography. Class will perform Student Choreographed piece(s) in annual recital
